Some people you cannot forget.
Ryan Lynch lived a life full of positive impact upon everyone he met.
Ryan was the exemplary “sheepdog” caring for his family and community. Thwarted in his lifelong dream to become a Navy Seal due to minor physical disqualifications, he set his mind to gathering and sharing information to protect his community from likely disasters. This work culminated in the creation of the Western Washington Disaster Preparedness (WWDP) group in 2020. He led the group from the front and improved every life he came across, selflessly sharing hard-won survival strategies and ordinary life advice for us all.
Ryan was taken from us far too soon in February 2024. His long battle with lung cancer did what no earthquake, wildfire, pandemic or zombie invasion from Canada could do. His family and friends worked with and ultimately suffered with Ryan to his last days, wishing we had more of them with him.
To know him was to love him. We will never forget you, brother. We are better to have known and loved you.
